a sleeping homeless man. Artists render
people like pastels & watercolors.
The wounded gather shopping carts & talk
about Jesus, their smiles resemble burn
scars. They tape magazine clippings
to bedroom mirrors & blow cigarette smoke
into perfect images still hoping to see a heartbeat.
